On the train on my way home from the airport, I was sitting across from one of those guys talking on his cell phone. You know, the kind talking REALLY LOUD about absolutely nothing—just killing time—but forcing us to listen to it all. But I started to laugh when I saw that my talkative buddy was sitting under one of those anti-terrorist signs that say, "If you see something, say something." I felt like telling him, "And if you don't see anything, shut up."

As the "newbie" at Search Engine Guide, I've been able to delay starting my own blogging endeavors for quite a while now, but the time has come.  I owe my motivation to both Small Business Marketing Unleashed and to Mack Collier.  So, for those of you who were also inspired by Mack's recent post about the fear of blogging (and/or SBMU), come!  Join me on my journey into this bizarre and addictive yet somehow fruitful world of blogging.

In this interview Mack Collier hits the nail on the head about how you can gain a competitive advantage in your industry. It's not easy and it takes commitment but the payoff can be significant.

Jim recommends setting up an "ask the expert" blog for your business. Regardless of what your business topic is, there will be people who have questions. Questions that you will be able answer as a business owner in that topic. The content generates itself.
